On September 11th, members of the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department, Pocantico Hills Fire District, Millwood Fire District and Chappaqua Fire Department delivered donated clothing, food, and other goods to the Villages of Prattsville and Lexington in Greene County. The goods had been donated to the different fire departments by the citizens of their communities in the past week.
The pictures below are a short glimpse of the devastation that befell these communities. It is hard to describe the destruction that floods caused to these villages. In the village of Prattsville, homes on its main street are destroyed, some swept from their foundations. The residents are working tirelessly to cleanup and return to normal life.
